
Artist David Hockney has not only taken to the iPad for drawing, but is using it in ways that might make Steve Jobs blush. Turns out, he loves the device for drawing and even mentions that, “The iPad is far more subtle, in fact it really is like a drawing pad. They will sell by the million. It will change the way we look at everything from reading newspapers to the drawing pad.” Source: London Evening Standard.
So is ad design next? When will creative directors start to utilize tablet devices for incredibly cool ad designs? When will Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other products come to a tablet device near us? We’ve already had requests to test ad designs with users that are iPad compatible. How soon does the iPad really start becoming part of the designers tool set and use set?
We’re betting sooner than anyone thinks.
